We’re grateful to Marian Ryan for bringing so many partners together from past to present, to reflect on how far we’ve come in the fight against opioid addiction since 2012. What started as a shared concern quickly became a unified effort jointly with public safety, healthcare, and community leaders all working side by side with one goal: to make a difference.

From those early meetings to today, we’ve leaned into innovation, effective strategies, and real-time technology to better respond to this crisis and support those impacted from the victims, families, and entire communities.

A special recognition to our own Jon Kelley, who played a key leadership role at the start of this task force. Jon helped bring forward-thinking innovation and data-driven technology into the conversation by providing regional, real-time insights that empowered responders and partners to act quickly and make informed decisions when it mattered most.

This work is far from over but moments like this remind us what’s possible when we come together with purpose.
