Congratulations Xavier
The EMS industry tends to be more of a stepping stone industry. Some people who join the EMS world, do so to get pre hospital care experience. They will then climb the ladder of EMS and eventually make their way to a Police/Fire Department, Nurse, Doctor, NP to name a few. Some people who enter the EMS World do so to grow in EMS….just like Xavier.
Xavier joined our team as a chairvan transportation specialist. He was visiting his Grandmother in a nursing home and saw Pridestar Trinity buzzing around the hallways transporting residents to and from their doctor appointments. He wondered if he could join our team and he did. After some time as a chairvan driver, Xavier decided to take the next step in EMS and become an EMT. He enrolled in our EMT course. During that time, after the first 48 hours of the course, you have the ability and can take a test to get a newer certification in EMS called an EFR (Emergency First Responder). Xavier passed the test and became an EFR, working on an ambulance while continuing his journey to become an EMT.
Xavier worked and studied hard and passed his EMT course and all testing involved. He is now a Full time EMT-B on our team. Congrats Xavier. There is no telling where you’ll be heading.
